Ashton Hayes, the Cheshire village in which we are based, is aiming to become England’s first carbon neutral village. Progress is being made - in one year, between May 2006 and May 2007, surveys of the village found the community had reduced its carbon emissions by a very encouraging 20%.

As part of the project team, providing communications support, we seek to ‘walk the talk’ and have long followed sensible practices such as fitting low voltage light bulbs and recycling the mountain of newspapers we read for our clients. In 2007 we fitted videoconferencing equipment in an effort to reduce our long distance travel and further reduce our carbon footprint. We also made the facility available to anyone working from the village.

Our Polycom camera connects up to 4 locations in one call, using broadband or ISDN lines, so staff from around the world can contribute to a meeting without travelling. Clients can speak to several contacts at M&M in one meeting without worrying about the time, cost and disruption involved in a large face to face meeting.

Call us to discuss how to take advantage of this facility – we may even be able to arrange installation of equipment in your premises.
